Oartec DX - Dynamic rowing machine
Oartec DX is developed to provide maximum training. The machine has two moving parts: seat cushion and footrest. This means that you pull and press with the legs just as much. This type of rowing is much gentler on the lumbar spine. This in turn allows you to row longer sessions without experiencing extreme fatigue in the lumbar spine.
The design of the fan means that load 1 is very light and 10 is really heavy. This allows you to adapt your training better than on other rowing machines.
While there are many rowing machines to choose from, very few of them have the dynamic rowing motion.
The advantages of dynamic rowing movement are:
Significantly less stress and strain on the lower back and joints compared to a stationary rowing machine.
Ultra smooth and fluid stroke bike - no slip or jerk at the beginning of the pull.
Connects the leg muscles proportionally more using a push-pull action.
Strengthens core stability and improves strength.
Encourages good rowing technique and coordination.
Provides the most realistic rowing simulation and feel.
Stationary vs Dynamic
On a stationary rowing machine, the rowing must accelerate and decelerate its total body mass each stroke. This constant change of direction increases the work that the body has to do, which in turn increases the speed of muscle fatigue as the body tires, which exposes the rower to a greater risk of injury.
Because rowing is a repetitive exercise, the higher concentration of load generated by rowing on a stationary machine causes more wear on the body and is far from the biodynamics of rowing a boat on the water.
The dynamic movement of the DX significantly reduces the risk of injury by charging your body in a much safer and more natural way.
On a dynamic machine, instead of moving your body mass back and forth, the dynamic frame of the machine is moved, which is significantly lighter than your body.
Therefore, the initial load absorbed by the lumbar spine during the pulling phase is much lower and your body does not need to be retarded at the end of the hip flexors or at the knees when turning.
The big advantage of DX is how the reduced load and degree of fatigue improves the ability to train safely, regularly for longer periods and distances. Even if you only use a rowing machine for short workouts or warm-ups, you will feel a significant difference and benefit.
